Energy Efficiency
RCEE-NIRAS supply expertise in on-the-job training through conducting energy audits in buildings and in industries, as well as organising training courses for energy audits; energy management systems and energy efficiency in the North, Central and the South of Vietnam
RCEE-NIRAS assists selected private sector suppliers in developing commercial markets for their energy and water efficiency products that target SMEs in MEET-BIS Project. The program supports the development of technical capacities, marketing and sales capacities, and financing solutions. As the capacity building needs of the partners are diverse, flexible, and responsive learning support is provided accordingly. The RCEE-NIRAS team is developing technology partnerships with key suppliers in selected sectors, with the ambition to serve 750 SMEs over the project life span. RCEE-NIRAS does not sell efficiency technologies for SMEs but assists the partner supplier in doing so. To enhance their value to the SME market, the project assists in Translating efficiency products into Business Innovation Packages, with a clear added value (cost savings); Developing relevant sales skills and marketing materials; Providing hands-on technical installation and after-sales service training; Improving access to finance for both the suppliers themselves as well as the SMEs they target.
For the ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS) RCEE-NIRAS acts as the country coordinator for Vietnam and will be responsible for implementing all the activities at a national level. This includes train local trainers and auditors, organize training workshops for energy managers, establishment and manage ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS) Country Chapter, and promotion to AEMAS national network. RCEE-NIRAS is one of the pioneering in this training and certification process to build up energy management capacity for enterprises in Vietnam.
RCEE also acted as the leading local consultant in the Vietaudit2 project, which supported the Vietnam Energy Efficiency and Conservation Office (EECO) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in capacity building on energy auditing.
RCEE-NIRAS partnered with international partners to formulate a comprehensive investment plan on the development of a national testing and certification facility capable of testing various quality parameters of lighting products and issuing certification in compliance with national and international standards. The completed plan was submitted to relevant national and local government agencies for consideration and future implementation.
